My Spirit Sang All Day
the graduate choir, nz

the graduate choir, nz
The graduate choir, nz has earned a reputation for the performance of choral music at its best, for programming which is accessible and universal in appeal, for the musical integrity it brings to this repertoire, and for the warmth and breadth of its sound.

This varied programme ranges from sacred music of the 19th and 20th centuries through to art songs, folk-songs, spirituals and jazz; the choir sings in no fewer than six languages, there is a mixture of unaccompanied and accompanied music – in short, something for everyone!

Terence Maskell
Terence Maskell, who received his early training from Emeritus Professor Peter Godfrey and the late Anthony Jennings, has been the conductor of the graduate choir, nz since its inception. As Director of Music at Aorere College for eighteen years, he established a firm national and international reputation for fine choral groups at the school. At the end of 2001 he undertook a two-month global tour as a Sir Woolf Fisher Fellow (an award given for excellence in music education).
